On Friday 22 March, European employers’ organisation BusinessEurope voiced its concerns about the revision of the European Works Councils (EWC) Directive, ahead of the European Parliament’s Committee on Employment and Social Affairs adopting its mandate on 3 April.

This revision (see EUROPE B13335A19) was proposed when “the overwhelming feedback by companies operating EWCs is that their European works council operates well”, according to the preamble.
