01/03/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 1 March, the European Commission announced that it had authorised a Romanian State aid scheme worth around €164 million (RON 815.5 million) under the Temporary Framework for State aid during crisis and transition periods. This aid is intended to support companies in the primary agricultural production sector whose financial liquidity may be affected by the disruption to agricultural markets caused by the consequences of Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine. The aid will reach beneficiaries in the form of loans and interest-rate subsidies not exceeding €280,000 per beneficiary, granted no later than 30 June 2024. (EV)
