Bartjan Wegter appointed EU Counter-Terrorism Coordinator

28/02/2024 (Agence Europe) – Dutch diplomat Bartjan Wegter has been appointed EU Counter-Terrorism Coordinator (EU CTC), the Council of the European Union announced in a press release on Wednesday 28 February. His five-year term will start on 1 March 2024. He succeeds Ilkka Salmi, who has held the office since October 2021.
