MEPs approve text on reporting requirements without amendment

28/02/2024 (Agence Europe) – Meeting in plenary session in Strasbourg on Wednesday 28 February, MEPs overwhelmingly endorsed the text of the report by Anna Cavazzini (Greens/EFA, Germany) on reporting requirements, with 585 votes in favour, 9 against and 7 abstentions. This text, presented by the European Commission in October 2023, aims to “rationalise and simplify reporting obligations, with a view to eventually reducing these burdens by 25%”.
