European Commission wants to simplify good agricultural and environmental conditions and CAP strategic plans

On Thursday 22 February, the European Commission is due to adopt a working document setting out possible ways of simplifying the rules of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) in the areas of cross-compliance of aid and strategic plans implementing the CAP.

These ideas will be discussed on Monday 26 February by the EU agriculture ministers, who will make their contribution to the debate aimed at addressing the concerns of EU farmers.
