EU Council asks for European Parliament’s consent on revision of Multiannual Financial Framework

20/02/24 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 20 February, the Member States’ ambassadors to the EU (Coreper) approved the sending of a request for a consent vote by the European Parliament on the mid-term review of the 2021-2027 Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) (see EUROPE B13350A22). The European Parliament can only approve or reject this revision of the EU budget en bloc. Once Parliament has given its consent, the text will return to the Council for a final vote and signature.
