Tatjana Ždanoka case, European Parliament confirms willingness to cooperate with Latvia to determine possible sanctions and criminal proceedings

On Thursday 8 February, MEPs adopted a resolution condemning “the continuous efforts by Russia to undermine European democracy” (433 votes in favour, 56 against and 18 abstentions).

As we wrote in our previous bulletin (see EUROPE B13345A5), the text focuses mainly on the concerns raised by the revelations concerning the potential espionage activities carried out by Latvian MEP Tatjana Ždanoka (non-attached Member) on behalf of Moscow.
