On Monday 29 January, Climate Action Network (CAN)Europe, the coalition of NGOs working to combat climate change, published its suggestions for the European Union’s next legislative cycle, with a view to achieving the 2030 targets.
One key point concerns the renovation of buildings, which are responsible for 36% of CO2 emissions in Europe. Buildings should see their greenhouse gas emissions cut by 60% and their final energy consumption reduced by 14% by 2030.
