On Monday 29 January, the spokesman for the European External Action Service (EEAS), Peter Stano, expressed his “very deep concern” about the recent judgment by the Venezuelan Supreme Court confirming the ineligibility of Maduro regime opponents María Corina Machado and Henrique Capriles for the presidential elections scheduled for the second half of 2024.
