Stefan Berger lays foundations for long-term acceptance of and access to euro notes and coins

On Thursday 11 January, Stefan Berger MEP (EPP, German) put forward a draft report to the European Parliament on the European Commission’s legislative proposal to make euro notes and coins legal tender (see EUROPE B13211A12), a text that had accompanied a Commission proposal for a legal framework for a potential digital euro (see EUROPE B13211A11).
