European Commission approves a Polish scheme worth around €230 million to support maize producers

On Friday 19 January, the Commission announced that it had approved a Polish State aid scheme worth around €230 million (PLN 1 billion), notified under the Temporary Framework for State aid during crisis and transition periods. This measure is intended to support maize producers affected by the consequences of Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine.
