EU extends sanctions by 6 months

13/11/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 13 November, the European Foreign Affairs Ministers announced that the European Union had decided to extend its sanctions against 54 dignitaries of the Maduro regime “exceptionally”, for 6 months, until Tuesday 14 May 2024, instead of one year. One of the people sanctioned has died and has been removed from the list. The EU is thus sending a cautious signal aimed at encouraging the Venezuelan authorities to respect the Barbados agreements...
