26/10/23 (Agence Europe) – From Tuesday 24 to Thursday 26 October, the European Union held the first ever Space Dialogue with the African Union in Dakar, Senegal. During this dialogue, the participants discussed their respective political priorities in the field of space, according to the European Commission in a press release. The two parties discussed the main aspects of EU-AU collaboration in the space sector: Earth observation, satellite navigation and satellite connectivity. “The Space Dialogue is a result of the long-standing and fruitful collaboration between the European Union and the African Union that has been ongoing in the space sector for the past 20 years. Its main goal is to establish a process of regular exchanges and concrete cooperation between the African Union and the EU on space affairs”, according to the Commission. (CG)
