25/10/2023 (Agence Europe) – The Commission disbursed €50 million in the form of a loan to Moldova on Wednesday 25 October, and will make a further payment of €22.5 million in the form of grants between now and the end of the month as part of the €145 million macrofinancial assistance provided by the European Union to this candidate country (see EUROPE 13190/27). According to the Commission, Moldova has fulfilled the required conditions by adopting an energy security action plan for the coming winter, strengthening public sector governance and making progress in the area of the rule of law (appointment to the Superior Council of Magistracy and the Superior Council of Prosecutors).
