EU environment ministers reach common ground on CO2 emission standards for new heavy-duty vehicles

The European Ministers for the Environment and Climate, meeting at the EU Council in Luxembourg on Monday 16 October, reached a political agreement (‘general approach’) from the EU Council on the proposal for a regulation aimed at establishing CO2 emission standards for new heavy-duty vehicles (see EUROPE B13121A1), with a view to reaching agreement on a general approach.
