Composition of European Parliament for 2024-2029 term ratified

On Friday 22 September, following the consent of the European Parliament (see EUROPE B13249A24), the European Council adopted a decision setting the number of seats in the European Parliament at 720 for the 2024-2029 term.

The new distribution of MEP seats will be as follows: 22 for Belgium, 17 for Bulgaria, 21 for the Czech Republic, 15 for Denmark, 96 for Germany, 7 for Estonia, 14 for Ireland, 21 for Greece, 61 for Spain, 81 for France, 12 for Croatia, 76 for Italy, 6 for Cyprus, 9 for...
