On Monday 18 September, the Council of the European Union approved the European Commission’s proposal to allocate a total of €454.8 million in emergency aid to Romania, Italy and Turkey to repair the damage caused by natural disasters in 2022 in the first two countries and in response to the earthquake in February 2023 in the third.
