EU and CELAC countries are finalising a follow-up to investment projects included in ‘Global Gateway’ initiative

The finance ministers of the countries of the European Union, Latin America and the Caribbean agreed, on Friday 15 September in Santiago de Compostela, on a monitoring mechanism for each investment project for Latin America and the Caribbean included in the EU's ‘Global Gateway’ programme which was agreed upon at the EU/CELAC summit in mid-July in Brussels (see EUROPE B13224A1).

The European Commission will monitor each project with the support of international financial institutions...
