01/09/23 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 1 September, the European Commission signed an association agreement with Turkey for the Digital Europe programme. This agreement will enable Turkish companies, public administrations and other eligible entities, once the processes have been ratified, to access calls under the Digital Europe programme, which has an overall budget of €7.5 billion for the period 2021-2027. Turkish entities will be able to take part in projects in a number of areas, including artificial intelligence and advanced digital skills, and contribute to the establishment of digital innovation centres in the country. These funds from the Digital Europe programme will complement those made available under other programmes, such as Horizon Europe. (TM)
