European Commission approves two new agricultural designations

07/07/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 7 July, the European Commission approved the registration of two new agricultural product names. One is the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) ‘Powidła śliwkowe z Doliny Dolnej Wisły’ from Poland. This alcohol is made from ripe plums of the ‘Wegierka Zwykla’ variety, cooked to a jam-like consistency. It contains no added sugars, just the sugars naturally present in the fruit.
