EU Member States confirm final compromise on ‘Control Regulation’

23/06/23 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 23 June, the Committee of Permanent Representatives of the Member States to the EU (Coreper) confirmed the interinstitutional agreement reached on 30 May on the new fisheries control regulation (see EUROPE B13203A15). The Council of the EU and the European Parliament still have to formally adopt this text, which deals in particular with margins of tolerance when declaring catches and the control of recreational fishing.
