Critical raw materials act, Swedish Presidency of EU Council proposes a new compromise with a view to reaching a political position by end of June

The Swedish Presidency of the Council of the EU submitted a revised text for the Critical Raw Materials Act to the Member States on 12 June. According to the document, seen by EUROPE, the changes are minor compared to the previous version detailed here (see EUROPE B13191A14). According to a European diplomat, negotiations are proceeding apace in the Council with a view to proposing a text to the Member States’ ambassadors (Coreper I) at the end of the month.
