Euro area inflation confirmed as 6.1% in May

16/06/23 (Agence Europe) – The euro area annual inflation rate was 6.1% in May, down from 7.0% in April, according to data published by the Statistical Office of the European Union (Eurostat) on Friday 16th June. In the EU, it was 7.1% last month, down from 8.1% the previous month. The lowest annual rates were observed in Luxembourg (2.0%), Belgium (2.7%), Denmark and Spain (2.9% each), while the highest rates were recorded in Hungary (21.9%), Poland and the Czech Republic (12.5%...
