Commission issues new calls for expressions of interest to test new technologies in orbit

31/03/23 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 31 March, the European Commission published new calls for expressions of interest to gather In-orbit Demonstration and Validation experiments (IOD/IOV) for 2023-2026. The IOD/IOV service enables the testing of new technologies in orbit by providing aggregation, launch services and operations. The calls for expressions of interest are open until 15 March 2026 and have six deadlines for applications (31 May 2023, 15 March 2024, 2 September 2024, 15 March 2025, 1 September 2025 and 15 March 2026, each by 18:00 CET). In addition, two parallel calls for expressions of interest are open to gather technologies and/or components requiring aggregation as well as ready-to-fly satellites.
