31/03/23 (Agence Europe) – Gathered as the European organisation EBRA, the business registers of the European Union countries stressed the importance of guaranteeing legal certainty as these registers interconnect in a digital environment, on Tuesday 28 March, during a conference in the European Parliament initiated by the Spanish registers’ association. The event, attended by the Chair of the European Parliament’s Committee on Civil Liberties and the Director-General of the European Commission’s Legal Service, coincided with the presentation the following day of a legislative initiative to simplify company law by using the Business Registers Interconnection System (BRIS) to avoid having to ask for the same information several times (see EUROPE 13152/1).
