EU countries give green light to mobilisation of crisis reserve for Italy and three Member States bordering Ukraine

After the green light from EU experts on Thursday 30 March, the European Commission confirmed that it would adopt a €56.3 million aid package for EU farmers affected by the effects of increased imports of cereals and oilseeds from Ukraine.

This support, financed from the agricultural crisis reserve, should help compensate for the economic losses suffered by farmers in countries bordering Ukraine (see EUROPE B13145A11).
