On Thursday 30 March, the European Commission presented its proposal for a regulation to harmonise the technical requirements for the type approval of non-road machinery, such as cranes, harvesters and snowploughs, at the EU level.
With this text, the Commission wants to bring order to the multitude of existing legal frameworks which prevent end-users, such as contractors or construction companies, from using their non-road mobile machinery in different Member States.
