Olivér Várhelyi announces €2.2 billion package to upgrade railways

28/02/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 28 February during a visit to Serbia, European Commissioner for Enlargement, Olivér Várhelyi, announced a financial package of €2.2 billion that will allow for the substantial modernisation of the Corridor X railways. This railway project links the region to the EU via Croatia, through Belgrade, Niš, Skopje and Greece.
