NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg had announced at the end of November that such a meeting would be held. This ministerial meeting will be “an important opportunity for ministers to address the fundamentally changed security situation due to Russia’s brutal war in Ukraine and our unwavering support for the Ukrainian people so that they can prevail”, explained Mr Stoltenberg in a press release. The ministers will also prepare for the summit in Vilnius on 11 and 12 July. A formal meeting of defence ministers will be held in Brussels on 14 and 15 February. (CG)
