Two NGOs survey Member States’ varying ambitions regarding future food waste reduction targets in EU

On Monday 21 November, the European Environmental Bureau (EEB) and Feedback EU published a report on the uneven ambitions of EU Member States regarding legally binding targets to halve food waste in the EU by 2030.

The list of respective ambitions is the result of a questionnaire sent by NGOs to the relevant ministries in each Member State between June and September.

Romania, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Estonia expressed their support for the introduction of legally binding targets...
