Commission authorised to negotiate on behalf of EU to join ‘High Ambition Coalition’ at UN to stop plastic pollution

15/11/2022 (Agence Europe) – The European Union will join the international high-ambition coalition to end plastic pollution, and the European Commission will sign the political commitment on behalf of the EU, which is expected to lead to ongoing negotiations at the UN. The EU Council’s decision to authorise the European Commission to sign a non-binding agreement on behalf of the EU to this effect was adopted without debate on Monday 14 November in the margin of the Foreign Affairs...
