According to NGO T&E, 77% of employees believe that companies could reduce number of business flights to combat climate change

03/11/2022 (Agence Europe)On Thursday 3 November, the NGO Transport & Environment (T&E) published a survey as part of its Travel Smart campaign, in which it reports that 77% of employees believe that companies have an important role to play in the fight against climate change. The study, which was carried out among employees in Germany, France, Spain, the UK and the US, found that 74% of the employees surveyed believed that the reduction in the number of business flights should be accompanied by clear objectives and a travel policy within companies. In addition, when asked about their preferences for reducing the environmental impact of business travel by air, 53% of respondents opted for virtual collaboration technologies. Less frequent flights could also be a solution for 36% of respondents, while 32% of respondents also mentioned the possibility of using other means of transport. (TM)
