20/10/2022 (Agence Europe) – In accordance with the strategy on standardisation (see EUROPE 12882/3), the European Commission launched the call for applications for the High-Level Forum on European Standardisation on Tuesday 18 October. Bringing together representatives of EU Member States, European and national standards bodies, industry, civil society and academia, among others, the forum will advise on standardisation needs. The aim, says the EU institution, is to make the EU a “global standard-setter”. The first meeting of the forum is scheduled for January 2023. The call for applications will be open until 14 November. The European Parliament and the EU Council recently reached an interinstitutional agreement on European standardisation bodies (see EUROPE 13043/12). For more information: https://aeur.eu/f/3pw (PH)
