Charles Michel reaffirms EU’s determination to work towards binding international treaty on pandemics and to strengthen WHO

At the World Health Summit (Berlin, 16-18 October), which brought together public and private actors, the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, again called for global cooperation and a legally binding WHO treaty for the prevention, preparedness and response to future pandemics, as he did in November 2021 (see EUROPE B12842A2) and as early as May 2021 in Rome (see EUROPE B12724A5).
