European fleet could end year in red due to inflation, warn EU experts

13/10/2022 (Agence Europe) – According to the Scientific, Technical and Economic Committee for Fisheries’ (STECF) 2022 annual economic report on the EU fishing fleet, published on Monday 10 October, EU fishing vessels are expected to struggle to maintain their profits due to sharp increases in energy costs and inflation in 2022.
