European Parliament approves compromise text on input statistics

04/10/2022 (Agence Europe) – The European Parliament approved, on Tuesday 4 October, with 555 votes in favour, 42 against and 23 abstentions, the compromise text agreed with the Council of the EU on a new regulation on statistics on agricultural inputs and products (see EUROPE B12991A20). The statistics on pesticide use will cover the active substances of all plant protection products placed on the markets of the Member States and the crop areas treated with these products.
