Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala calls on WTO members to agree on reform of global agricultural system

Delegations to the World Trade Organization (WTO) met on Monday 25 July for a General Council meeting to review the outcome of the 12th Ministerial Conference (MC12) (see EUROPE B12974A2). 

On this occasion, the Director General, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, urged members to find solutions to move forward on the agriculture file. Ministers were unable to agree on a text on the reform of the global agricultural system at MC12. At the General Council, several members expressed their frustration...
