The European Commission launched on Tuesday 19 July a public consultation on improving access to data on chemicals for safety assessments.
It plans to present a proposal for an EU Regulation on this subject in the first quarter of 2023 and expects to gather as much input as possible in order to fine-tune this proposal, which will contribute to the implementation of the EU’s ‘Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability’ of October 2020 (see EUROPE B12580A16).
