Commission consults public before extending temporary storage of liquid mercury waste in EU by three years

20/07/2022 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission intends to extend by three years, until 31 December 2025, the temporary storage of large stocks of liquid mercury waste in the EU. On Tuesday 19 July, it launched a four-week public consultation on the draft delegated regulation it has prepared for this purpose. The delegated regulation will amend Regulation (EU) 2017/852 on mercury and repealing Regulation (EC) No 1102/2008. Its adoption is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2022....
