EU mobilises €2 million in emergency aid for flood victims in Bangladesh and India

24/06/2022 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission announced, on Friday 24 June, that it had released €2 million in emergency humanitarian aid for victims of the violent monsoon and flooding in South Asia. The bulk of the funding - €1.2 million - will go to help those most affected in the north-eastern and northern regions of Bangladesh, which are facing more severe floods than those of 1998 and 2004. The remaining €800,000 is for vulnerable people in the worst affected areas...
