Joint Research Centre report examines link between artificial intelligence and children’s rights

On Wednesday 22 June the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre published a report on artificial intelligence and children’s rights. 

The JRC believes that artificial intelligence can provide opportunities for children. However, if services and products related to artificial intelligence are poorly developed or implemented, artificial intelligence may jeopardise some of the rights of children, such as the right to privacy, education or protection.
