Parliament adopts its position on notification of aviation offset requirements under CORSIA

On Wednesday 8 June, the European Parliament adopted by a large majority (547 votes in favour, 44 against and 45 abstentions) the draft report by Sunčana Glavak (EPP, Croatia) on the European Commission's proposal to introduce an amendment to the rules on aviation in the EU Emissions Trading System (ETS).

This amendment relates to the requirements for offsetting aviation emissions under the ‘Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation’ (CORSIA).
