After three sessions of interinstitutional negotiations, representatives of the European Parliament and the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union reached a provisional political agreement, on the evening of Tuesday 7 June, on the proposal for a directive aimed at increasing the presence of women on the boards of listed European companies (see EUROPE B12912A11).
