Manfred Weber elected European People’s Party President

01/06/2022 (Agence Europe) – The only candidate in the race, the German Manfred Weber, current leader of the EPP group in the European Parliament, was elected President of the European People’s Party (EPP) in Rotterdam on 31 May by 447 votes out of 502. He is therefore taking over from Donald Tusk of Poland, who wants to return to the Polish political scene.
