Revision of LULUCF regulation, compromise emerging in European Parliament around a CO2 absorption target of 310 million tonnes in 2030

Negotiators from the political groups in the European Parliament appear to have reached a compromise on the revision of the Land Use, Land Use Change and Forestry (LULUCF) Regulation (2018/84).

The Parliament’s Environment Committee will vote on the text on 16 and 17 May (see EUROPE B12928A20 on the compromise text in the EU Council).
