Council of Europe calls on Austria to improve reception and integration of migrants and respect for women’s rights

On Thursday 12 May, the Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights published a report following her visit to Austria from 13 to 17 December 2021 on the reception and integration of refugees, asylum seekers and migrants and on women’s rights, with a large number of recommendations.

Pointing out the shortcomings in the reception of migrants, Dunja Mijatović calls for harmonised standards and cooperation with the Federal States.
