EU disburses €300 million in macrofinancial assistance to Ukraine

The European Commission announced on Friday 11 March that it would provide Ukraine with €300 million in macrofinancial assistance to enable this European third country invaded by Russia to honour its financial commitments.

This is the first disbursement to the Ukrainian authorities of half of the first tranche of the €1.2 billion macrofinancial assistance agreed urgently by the European Union before the outbreak of the war in Ukraine (see EUROPE B12889A11).
