21/01/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 21 January, the European Commission paid €271 million to Finland to pre-finance its national recovery plan, which was adopted in October 2021 by the EU Council(see EUROPE B12822A3). This sum corresponds to 13% of the total financial allocation to the country under the Recovery and Resilience Facility, the budgetary instrument at the heart of the Next Generation EU Recovery Plan, i.e. €2.1 billion in grants only (see EUROPE B12804A12).
