EU adopts adequacy decision on existing standards for transfer of personal data to South Korea
Brussels, 17/12/2021 (Agence Europe)

The European Commission announced the adoption, on Friday 17 December, of an adequacy decision on the existing standards for transfers of personal data from the EU to South Korea.

“Today’s decision is a unique opportunity to further strengthen our strategic partnership”, commented the Commissioner for Justice, Didier Reynders, on Twitter.

Personal data will therefore be able to be transferred from the EU to South Korea without the need to obtain new authorisations or to put in place...
