MEPs support stronger in-house measures against sexual harassment and assault
Brussels, 10/12/2021 (Agence Europe)

On Thursday 9 December the European Parliament's Committee on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality (FEMM) adopted a draft resolution calling for more action to be taken internally to prevent and deal with cases of sexual assault and harassment (see EUROPE B12846A11).

Despite strong opposition from the right (see EUROPE B12849A17), the final text was supported by all EPP, S&D, Renew Europe, Greens/EFA and The Left MEPs and was adopted by 28 votes in favour, 4 against and 2 abstentions.
